RARITAN, NJ – Raritan, NJ Mayor Zachary Bray and other local dignitaries joined principals from Accurate Builders and Developers on Thursday, August 5th to celebrate Somerset County’s newest luxury rental community: Crossings at Raritan Station.

Mayor Bray helped cut a ceremonial ribbon to mark the successful debut of Crossings, which is located at 59 Second Avenue next to the Raritan train station on NJ TRANSIT’s Raritan Valley line.  Crossings at Raritan Station delivers a new collection of 276 luxury rental residences to a formerly underutilized property in the heart of the borough. The celebration came ten weeks after the community officially launched leasing of the first phase of 113 residences – more than 80% of which have already been leased and nearly 100 residents already moved in.  Accurate Builders and Developers recently began accepting applications for homes in the community’s second and third phases as well.

Mayor Bray praised the grand opening as a significant milestone for Raritan and recognized the developers for delivering a finished product that helps further the borough’s revitalization goals.

“From the inception of this area being declared in need of redevelopment until today, we recognized Crossings at Raritan Station as a project that is vital to the future of Raritan, and we could not be happier with the finished product,” Mayor Bray said. “Raritan now has an excellent opportunity on its hands. Through smart growth, we are well positioned for a prosperous future, and that includes the revitalization of our downtown. I’d like to thank my predecessor, Mayor Charles McMullin, members of the borough council, Accurate Builders and Developers, and everyone else who helped make today’s grand opening possible.”

Crossings at Raritan Station’s early success is being attributed to its stylish residences, thoughtful amenities, and desirable location near Raritan’s and neighboring Somerville’s walkable downtown streets, shops, and restaurants which provide residents with a full lifestyle experience.   Commuter convenience provided by the adjacent train station with service to New York City and regional employment centers is also a major draw, as many residents prepare for a return to in-person work.

“Crossings at Raritan Station reflects our commitment to the borough with the transformation of this critical and well-located site into a modern residential address that is attracting new residents to Raritan while benefitting the community at large,” said Jack Klugmann, President and CEO of Accurate Builders and Developers.  “Borough officials and the many agencies involved did an excellent job in planning for this project and outlining their vision for the property. I’m proud to say that we have delivered on our promise to enhance that vision through our experience and expertise and turn it into a reality.”

Crossings at Raritan Station features a collection of studios, one- and two-bedroom rental residences currently available at monthly rental rates starting from $1,892 net effective, with grand opening incentives of up to two months free available for a limited time, according to The Marketing Directors, the community’s exclusive marketing and leasing agent. Immediate occupancy is available.

Accurate Builders and Developers crafted the residences at Crossings with the goal of delivering a new caliber of rental residences to the Borough of Raritan, one that offers spacious layouts, modern interiors, and upscale appointments. They include features such as 9’ ceilings, luxury plank flooring, and upscale kitchens with quartz counters, modern espresso cabinets, a full-height subway tile backsplash, stainless-steel appliances and a gas range.

Designed by architect Devereaux and Associates, the interior spaces are well thought out, with details such as tiled bath floors and wet walls, an in-unit washer & dryer, and custom roller shade window treatments in every home. Private outdoor balconies and extra-spacious den layouts are available in select homes.

As a pioneering residential community in the neighborhood, Crossings at Raritan Station offers a full complement of amenities and services designed for resident comfort, convenience and recreation. They include a sophisticated lobby lounge with coffee bar, a state-of-the-art fitness center with virtual training technology, Amazon® package lockers, private covered parking, a bicycle share, bicycle storage and 24/7 onsite maintenance.

Outside, multiple landscaped courtyards provide abundant space for al fresco recreation and relaxation. Among them are an outdoor terrace with lounge seating, BBQs, a fire pit, outdoor games, and a meditation garden with hammocks and greenery. Residents will also enjoy access to a tennis court, basketball court, and dog park.

Crossings at Raritan Station’s location provides commuting convenience to residents whether they work in New York City, at one of the many global life science and pharmaceutical companies in the area, including LabCorp, or in other nearby employment centers such as New Brunswick. Trains departing from Raritan Station offer direct service to Manhattan or transfers to New York via the PATH system at Newark Penn Station. A network of major highways intersect in Raritan and neighboring Somerville, offering easy access to Routes 287, 78, 202, 206, 28 and 22 that directly connect to the state’s other major throughfares, such as the New Jersey Turnpike.

Residents of Crossings at Raritan Station are only one mile from the walkable streets of downtown Somerville, where they can explore a variety of unique restaurants, retail shops and small businesses. Somerville’s Division Street, a pedestrian-only street, is a thriving community square, home to outdoor festivals, concerts, and movies under the stars’ programs, just to name a few.  Downtown Raritan’s main street, Somerset Street, is even closer and charming in its own right, providing a retail mix that includes an espresso bar, ice cream shop, bakeries, a craft store, music store, and a wide range of eateries.

“We are seeing many residents choose Crossings at Raritan Station either because they work for one of the many nearby employers or they need a location with mass-transit access to Manhattan, but prefer to live in a suburban location,” said Jacqueline Urgo, President of The Marketing Directors.  “Either way, they are attracted to the quality and lifestyle the community offers. Accurate Builders and Developers hit on a winning formula here that is clearly resonating with renters.”

Raritan is home to five parks and playgrounds as well as tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball/softball fields and two public swimming pools. It borders Duke Farms, a 1,000-acre estate that is open for walking, bicycling, and eco-exploration. Duke Farms also offers atmospheric outdoor dining at the Farm Barn Café and a seasonal farmers market. The Village Brewing Company in downtown Somerville is another local favorite, serving a rotating selection of craft beers and an inspired menu of elevated New American cuisine. LabCorp is located next door to the Crossings and several other major employers, such as Bausch and Lomb, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer Inc are located within minutes of Raritan.
